How long can you let your bobber sink and still catch a steelhead?

Hi Jeff! Thank you so much for your question. Our CEO is master of what we call the slo-mo set. Sam’s technique drives many guides crazy and we frequently hear them yell,”Sam! set, set, set, set!!!! While Sam may appear to be totally oblivious to the fish on his line, he is in fact feigning indifference. He believes his “jedi master” trick will cause the fish to self-set. We all have to agree we have seen him come away with dozens of fish using his method. I believe the longest wait time from bite to set has been a whopping 12 seconds!
